Vitamin B-6 Capsules
A human scientific study from Japan has found a significant correlation between panic/anxiety attacks, vitamin B6 and iron levels in the blood. Numerous other sources have reported on
this however many of them have made a critical error, stating that it is simply “B vitamins and iron” that are linked to the disorders – however, the researchers tested several types of B vitamin and found B2 and B12 to be unrelated to panic attacks/hyperventilation attacks. It is specifically a lack of vitamin B6 that correlated strongly to the disorder. However, it is worth noting that B
vitamins, in general, are associated with better mental health. Other symptoms of vitamin B deficiency may include agoraphobia, anxiety, fatigue, irritability, and emotional instability. Serotonin, the brain’s “happiness chemical” is synthesized in the body from its precursor (“building block”) tryptophan, and it is well known that vitamin B6 and iron each play important roles as cofactors in the synthesis of serotonin in the human body. An additional factor includes obtaining tryptophan, an amino acid, from the diet.
B6 AND ZINC
While there aren’t many nutrients that seem to directly affect neurotransmitters and brain functioning, zinc and B6 are two of the biggies. B6 is needed to make the neurotransmitters Dopamine, Serotonin and GABA in the brain. Zinc also has a great impact on the brain (and deserves a blog post of it's own). Separately zinc is important for the gastrointestinal and immune systems, both of which influence brain health.

Pyrolauria Protocol From Trudy Scott
Start with zinc (30 mg), vitamin B6 (100mg) or P5P (25mg) and evening primrose oil (1300mg), plus a good multi-vitamin (with manganese and no copper) and a multi-mineral and sometimes additional magnesium. For the zinc I have found Opti-zinc you want a brand without copper to be very well absorbed by most of my clients. Using the liquid zinc sulfate/zinc status test is a useful way to assess your zinc levels. We Increase zinc based on the zinc test and the vitamin B6 based on dream recall. And obviously social anxiety symptoms too.
