Myo-inositol promotes thyroid health by supporting hormone balance and aiding in the conversion of thyroxine (T4) to triiodothyronine (T3). This helps regulate metabolism and energy levels.

It has also been show to possibly lower thyroid antibodies making it exceptional for people with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.

Myo-Inositol makes the TSH receptors more sensitive to the TSH signal which is useful in euthyroid Hashimoto’s patients.In a 2013 study from Rome, just published in the Journal of Thyroid Research, patients taking the selenium – myo-inositol combination had a reduction in TSH  while those taking selenium alone had no change in TSH.  In both groups the antibodies declined significantly.

Myo-Inositol is also effective for panic disorder.  A small study published in 2001 showed it was more effective than SSRI antidepressants) Large doses, up to 16 grams per day, were used.   It may also be effective for Depression and OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder).
